Tamika Gibson
Tamika Gibson, founder of Bold Hold Lace Products has leveraged her profession as Celebrity Stylist to a quickly emerging beauty mogul! Born and raised in Flint Michigan, Tamika trained under Her Aunt , a local hairstylist, began to teach her how to do hair. Tamika’s gift for hair styling provided an additional stream of income as she studied early childhood development at Western Michigan University.
One day she looked around the classroom and realized, while the other students were excited about becoming school teachers, she was unsure of her path. She made a difficult decision to leave school and later join the military where she served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army. Tamika quickly built a reputation as a great hairstylist regularly doing her fellow soldiers' hair. Once leaving the military, Tamika was armed with the discipline and communication skills that would enable her to take her passion for hair care to the next level.
Tamika became a full time Cosmologist and quickly gained a reputation for creating The 45 Minute Sew-In Wig technique. Soon after she amassed a celebrity clientele including R&B Artists KeKe Wyatt and Faith Evans, Rapper and Actress Lil Mama, Lebron James' wife Savannah James and more. Her expertise afforded her countless opportunities as a platform artist for well-known brands thus her moniker The Hair Diagram was born.
After being a professional Cosmetologist and Celebrity Wig Slayer for almost two decades, Tamika regained her desire to teach and created The Hair Diagram educational platform for aspiring stylists. Later she created Bold Hold products due to her frustration with the quality of other wig adhesives. Tamika’s trusted industry reputation coupled with her knack for social media quickly evolved and her reputation skyrocketed internationally!
Balancing being a mother, wife, mentor, educator and business woman Tamika continues to travel throughout the world to grow the Bold Hold and The Hair Diagram brand. Her goal is to equip her students and peers with the skills to be successful in the cosmetology industry and better their lives.
Today, the multi million dollar Bold Hold brand has emerged as the #1 Lace Adhesive and is used worldwide. She has been featured in media outlets such as Cosmo, Allure, Sheen, Madam Noire, Elle, and more.
