Professional makeup artist and entrepreneur, Christelsie Johnson has rapidly made a name for herself in the world of television and film. During her 15-year tenure in the beauty industry she has amassed an impressive portfolio. She has worked with numerous celebrities, television networks, magazines, and NBA cheerleading teams. As a makeup artist, Christelsie has over twenty television and film credits, partnerships with numerous companies and has provided trainings for beauty professionals around the country. Christelsie’s work has been featured on CBS, The CW, BET, TV One, Up TV, Oxygen, Apple TV, Bounce, Centric and Essence magazine, to name a few.
As the owner of My T.R.U.E. Beauty L.L.C., Christelsie believes that true beauty can only be achieved when the inside is just as beautiful as the outside. My T.R.U.E. Beauty LLC, serves to Transform, Restore, Unify, and Elevate. Christelsie’s extensive background in makeup artistry, the arts, and arts in therapy has allowed her to develop a formula for total beauty that yields winning results. She believes that individuals with high self-esteem make better choices and in turn, embrace their inner beauty.
Christelsie has worked with individuals from all walks of life however her compassion for women impacted by cancer is near and dear to her. This led her to create the Beating Cancer Beautifully program. Surprisingly, Christelsie was diagnosed with breast cancer at the height of the covid pandemic in 2020. This prompted her to move forward with the creation of her non-profit, Intentionally PRETTY Inc. Through her non-profit she provides resources for the underserved in our communities through health, economic, and wellness services.
Christelsie received her Bachelor of Science degree in Theater Education and Performance from Florida A&M University. She received her Esthetician license from The Florida College of Natural Health. She is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority, Inc.

Christelsie's degree in Theatre Education and Performance along with her background in therapeutic art services has allowed her to create a wonderful arts curriculum used to build self-esteem. Drama, dance, and visual arts activities are used to promote inner-beauty. We partner with existing programs to provide arts services to meet the needs of their clients

INDIVIDUAL LESSON
This is a one on one class with the makeup instructor. The instructor guides the student step by step in achieving the desired look. The student will walk away with knowledge of how to properly apply their personal makeup.
THE BASICS
This is a beginner level class for aspiring makeup artist. The class size is kept small for one on one interaction with the instructor. This class will cover makeup basics that every professional should know when embarking upon a career in makeup.
The participants will learn kit necessities, proper use of brushes, color placement, basic highlighting and contouring, blending, skin prepping, foundation matching, proper care of makeup and brushes, and proper sanitation. Participants can bring their makeup kits for review by the instructor. This class is a series.
ADVANCED MAKEUP
This class will teach participants advanced makeup techniques that will improve their artistry. This class includes tattoo cover-ups, special effects, and more. This class is a series.
GIRLFRIENDS AND GLAM
This is a fun learning experience for you and your friends in the privacy of your home or special location. Christelsie will come on location and teach you and your girlfriends how to achieve the look of your choice. The host serves as the model. You bring the friends, we bring the makeup!
MAKEUP FOR TELEVISION AND FILM
If you are looking to break into the film industry as a makeup artist, this is the class for you. Learn set terminology, how to keep continuity, design looks, analyze scripts, recreate looks, networking and more.

BEATING CANCER BEAUTIFULLY
This class is for cancer survivors. It focuses on applying natural looking eyebrows, faux lash application, and how to naturally camouflage skin discolorations from radiation and chemo. This is a complimentary class for survivors.
BRIDAL MAKE-UP
This class will teach participants how to apply day, evening, and day to evening bridal looks.
TOTAL BEAUTY
This class is a platform style learning experience. Participants will be instructed on how to apply a look for business, day, and evening.
EVERYDAY BEAUTY
This class is for the everyday woman that wants to improve her daily look. This class will teach simple ways to apply makeup and how to move from day to evening makeup looks.
Participants will walk away with the knowledge of what colors and products work best with their skin type and complexion.

REINVENTING YOU
Christelsie takes you on a visual journey of the affects life challenges have on your self-esteem and image. She then shows how to turn it around through this powerful workshop.
DEVELOPING A POSITIVE
SELF-IMAGE WORKSHOP
This is a wonderful workshop for adults and youth. This workshop addresses the causes of poor self-image and ways to correct it. It is a fun, motivating, thought provoking hands on workshop.
FORK IN THE ROAD PLAY & WORKSHOP
Fork in the Road is a play written by Christelsie which addresses teen issues including, bullying, teen pregnancy, and low self-esteem. The play is followed by a question and answer segment/workshop that addresses the matters discussed in the play.
VISUAL ARTS MASK MASKING
We have a wonderful mask making project that is combined with drama. This activity is used to address everything from diversity, anger management, parenting and preventing risky behavior, just to name a few..
DANCE PROGRAM
Jazz, Ballet, Creative Dance, Hip-Hop, and African dance techniques are used to help clients achieve inner beauty. Along with discipline and grace, dance instills many qualities that aid in achieving inner-beauty. Spoken word and poetry are often combined with this program.
ARTS & INTEGRATION WORKSHOP
Arts integration trainings are available to teach professionals how to use the arts to achieve their desired goals.
